Common Questions

How long does a typical tune-up take? +

Most tune-ups are completed within 24-48 hours. Basic adjustments can often be done same-day if you drop off in the morning. Complete overhauls typically take 2-3 days. We'll give you a more accurate estimate when we see your bike.

Do I need to schedule an appointment? +

Yes, we work by appointment to ensure we have the time and parts needed for your service. You can book online through our contact form or call us directly at (605) 224-8955. Walk-ins are welcome for minor adjustments and parts purchases.

What brands do you service? +

We service all major brands including Trek, Specialized, Giant, Cannondale, Bianchi, Santa Cruz, and many more. We also work on private-label bikes and custom builds. If it's a bicycle, we can probably work on it.

Do you work on electric bikes? +

Absolutely! E-bikes are becoming increasingly popular, and we're equipped to handle them. We service Bosch, Shimano, Brose, and other major e-bike drive systems. Note that e-bike service may take longer due to the specialized nature of the components.

What forms of payment do you accept? +

We accept cash, credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), and debit cards. We also accept digital payments through Venmo. Payment is due at pickup for all services.

Do you offer warranties on your work? +

Yes! Our Standard Tune-Up and Complete Overhaul services include a 90-day warranty on all labor. If something comes loose or needs adjustment within that period, bring it back and we'll fix it free of charge. Parts are covered by manufacturer warranties.

Can I wait while my bike is being worked on? +

For simple adjustments and minor repairs, you're welcome to wait. For larger services that require more time, we recommend dropping off the bike. We have a comfortable waiting area with coffee and seating if you prefer to wait on larger jobs.

What should I do to prepare my bike for service? +

Just bring your bike as is! No need to clean it — we actually prefer to see how it's been maintained. If there are specific noises or issues you're experiencing, try to note when they occur (gear, terrain, etc.) to help us diagnose the problem.

Do you pick up or deliver bikes? +

Currently, we offer pickup and delivery within 10 miles of Pierre for customers who have booked a Complete Overhaul or custom build service. This is a free service for qualifying jobs. Contact us to schedule.

What happens if you find additional issues? +

We'll call you before proceeding with any additional work. You'll never be surprised by charges you didn't approve. We provide a detailed estimate for any extra work needed.
